Pray the Word Ministries goal is to impact the lives of believers around the globe by providing opportunities to unite with other Christians for prayer and by teaching them how to have deeper, more meaningful prayer times both personally and corporately. Here are a few testimonies about how Pray the Word Ministries has made a difference in peoples lives.
Do you have a testimony you would like to share about how Pray the Word Ministries has impacted your life? We would love to hear from you!
A significant component of my life has been the mentoring I have received from Mary Ann Bridgwater founder of Pray the Word Ministry. With this in mind, it was an honor to have had Mary Ann come to our organizations staff development meeting this past November.
Passionately as always, her spiritual leadership and eagerness for the body of Christ to seek the Lord for a deeper understanding of what it means to be set apart for His glory brought a much need word of encouragement, instruction, and exhortation to our staff.
We were left with tangible tools like the consecration cards, prayer journal, and prayer guide put together for the specific needs of our ministry. These are tools that helps us grow near to the Lord on a daily basis and to fight our battles from a place of victory and not defeat.
I will always be grateful to Mary Ann because through her ministry she has made an impact in my life and those I ministered to on a daily basis.Anna HasselbringMary Ann Bridgwater speaks to WorkFaith Connection Staff
On Wednesday, November 29th, the WorkFaith Connection was blessed to have Mary Ann Bridgwater speak to the entire WorkFaith staff. Over the last several months, WorkFaith had been going through a significant reorganization (several people were let go while others were moved to other positions); also, a beloved employee passed away earlier in the Fall and her battle with cancer (and death) had an enormous impact on the staff. Given these developments, the WorkFaith leadership team felt that the staff needed a concentrated focus on prayer. We were so very pleased when Mary Ann accepted our invitation.
Mary Ann encouraged the staff to focus on consecration and purity. Her Scripture references were too numerous to mention, but Mary Ann walked us through the absolute necessity for each staff member individually (as well as the staff collectively) to enter into a focused time of purification - to be set apart as followers of Jesus Christ. Mary Ann directed smaller groups of employees to pray for the Lord to intercede. As Mary Ann wrapped up her time, we were honored to pray Scripture over WorkFaith and its mission to help those with challenged pasts and life experiences find a new life through work and faith.
WorkFaith was very honored and blessed by MaryAnn. We've talked about having her address our staff again soon.Ken Kapp, DirectorMary Ann Bridgwater speaks to WorkFaith Connection Staff
There are not words to adequately express my praises to God for the way He worked through you to bless, encourage, and instruct our team. From the bottom of my heart I praise God and thank you for joining us at our Staff Development Day.
Our team walked through some very challenging times in 2017, and although we are on the other side of many of those challenges, the healing from the disruption was just beginning to take place in the hearts, minds, and souls of our team. We knew that the place to start was prayer, and we were so incredibly grateful your schedule allowed you to be with us as the season of healing begins.
Your commitment to praying over our group before you met with us, and seeking what the Lord had for our team, was itself a sweet blessing. As you joined us that morning in late November, and began by personalizing the words from John for our team, I could sense life being breathed back into the hearts and souls of our staff.
Your transparency with how God grew you to a deeper level of consecration, and the very practical application steps, made it safe for our entire team to embrace the journey. At the end of the day we shared what God had done that spoke most powerfully to each of us, and so many of the comments from the team reflected back to the two hours you spent with us. Praise God!
Having you as an instrument in God’s hand to help our team explore the deeper meanings of what it looks like to consecrate ourselves before the Lord, to be set apart, continues to be a treasure. At our staff development day in January we continued the conversation about consecration and praying God’s word, even distributing the handout again that you prepared for us in November.
Mary Ann, you and your team are a tremendous blessing and powerful source of encouragement and equipping to leaders like me as we engage in a very real battle. Through you and your focus on His word, God brings light into the darkness and refreshes the souls of those He entrusts to your care. Let us know how we can pray for you, for Pray the Word, and for your team.Sandy Schultz, President/CEOMary Ann Bridgwater speaks to WorkFaith Connection Staff
Hello my name is Becky Chaffin.
I met you several years ago, when you spoke and lead our church (Lazybrook
Baptist -1822 W. 18th St; in Houston), on daily devotionals.
I have used your book, “Be still...and know God” everyday, since then.
I want to tell you how much your love and guidance and being real, has
mentored and helped me in my daily walk with the LORD God. I have seen how,
when we make our time, first thing in the morning, a priority in our lives, and we
seek His face...God will go before us and clear the way! He will clear the
obstacles. But, more than that, our Heavenly Father reminds me, in my mind &
heart, that He is with me!
I truly want to say “thank you” for your obedience and boldness and courage to
have written this book! Praises to our Heavenly Father!!
Also, in 2010, you invited our mission team that went to Bangladesh that year, to
a prayer time. Your team prayed over us, and for us, and others who were going
out into the world to share the “good news” of Christ Jesus. Our team partnered
with Jerry Squyres with Innovative Mission Opportunities.
Many times I have wanted to write and tell you “thank you” my sister in Christ.
And, so today, right now...is the time!!
May the LORD richly bless you and keep you!
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thess. 5:17)Becky Chaffin
God Is Love
God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for you so that you may have everlasting life. Jesus is the door to God’s love. “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me‘” John 14:6. God is a good Father. No matter how many times you have failed in life, or have been told that you do not measure up, the Father’s love for you is unconditional and cannot be earned. Salvation is a free gift bought and paid for by the blood of Christ. Receive this gift today by turning from your way to God’s way, trusting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
How To Receive Jesus Christ
- ADMIT your need for forgiveness and for the love of Jesus Christ as your Savior.
- BELIEVE and receive in your heart that Jesus is God’s only Son and that He died for you and rose from the grave.
- COMMIT yourself through prayer to a life of following Jesus, as shown in God’s Word.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.”
– John 3:16-17
