Land of the FREE...

We enjoy a Freedom today that those who walked before us did not have.

Despite the recent pandemic, state of the economy, and uprising violence, I want to remind you that we have been given freedom. A freedom to not allow the state of the world and the heaviness of life to hold us captive.

We are free to enjoy these liberties as we see fit. We are free to rise up in the morning and go to sleep at night in the safety of our homes. We are free to pursue careers and hobbies we enjoy. We are free to go to work and school throughout the week and enjoy time with family and friends on the weekend. We are free to speak and move about in the manner we desire.

Some may say we've never been more free.

Yet, within these liberties so many walk around with the weight of this world casting deep heaviness upon their souls. Many are held captive by the shackles of their sins. This does not have to be the case. There is liberty and refreshing available to us if we seek it out.

It's found in a freedom we often overlook in our day-to-day lives ... the Freedom to Repent.

Beloved, we are told to TAKE THOUGHT in the land where we have been taken captive and REPENT.

"Repent! Turn away from your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit."

Ezekiel 18:30b-31a

We can find forgiveness and refreshing within our FREEDOM TO REPENT.

"Now search your heart and repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sin may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (Acts 3:19-20)

Beloved, be intentional with the freedom you possess ... the Freedom to Repent. The Freedom to walk in forgiveness and refreshing.

Use the Freedom of Repentance to walk in the true liberty of the Lord!

"Grace and peace to you from the One who is, who was, and who is coming; from the seven spirits from our sins by His blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—the glory and dominion are His forever and ever. Amen." Revelation 1:4-6 HCSB
