How to Pray for Schools in Your Community

The battles the schools in your community face are very real ... and seem as though they are increasing in magnitude with every passing day.

Friend, I encourage you to take a few minutes and be intentional in your Prayers for the schools. I'm sharing four scriptures we can pray together for schools in our communities this week.

Prayer to Encourage Students to Stay in School

Praise you, Lord! "How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your word." I pray this would be true in their lives: They "(seek) you with all (their) heart; don't let (them) wander from your commands. (May they treasure) your word in (their) heart so that (they) may not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Prayer that Students Will Say No to Crime, Addiction, Bullying, and Gangs

I pray children listen "to (their) father's instruction, and don't reject (their) mother's teaching, for they will be a garland of favor on (their) head and pendants around (their) neck ... if sinners entice (them), (I pray they are not) persuaded." Proverbs 1:8-10

Prayer for the Sexual Purity of the Students

I pray our youth "come out from among (unbelievers) and be separate ... (I pray they) do not touch any unclean thing, and (you) will welcome (them) ... Since we have these promises, (I pray they) cleanse (themselves) from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God." 2 Corinthians 6:17; 7:1

Prayer for Revival and Spiritual Awakening

"Will you not revive us again so that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your faithful love, LORD, and give us your salvation. I will listen to what God will say; surely the LORD will declare peace to his people, his faithful ones, and not let them go back to the foolish ways. His salvation is very near those who fear him, so that glory may dwell in our land." Psalm 85:6-9
